Viura

Grape

White: Viura (Macabeo) is widely planted in Rioja and is also used in the production of Cava (Along with Parellada and Xarel-lo). It is an easy grape to grow, with medium high acidity, is floral in character with sometimes a taste of almonds. The best can sometimes take oak aging but this can be over powering. Most of these wines are best drunk as young as possible.
