An Island off the South coast of Australia, separated from the mainland by the Bass Straight. Tasmania is fast gaining a reputation for premium quality Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Sparkling wines grown along the cool river valleys. Due to the drought and hotter years in Australia, Tasmania could become a real player in the wine industry.
