RegionSouth Africa is in the middle of old world and new world in style and with recent investment the wine shave been getting better every year. The have made Pinotage synonymous with the country with is a cross between Pinot and Cinsault. South Africa has benefited from newer clones and root-stocks of varietals and high international investment which was not possible during apartheid. Some critics say that some South African wine has a slightly metallic edge.
