Semillon
GrapeWhite: Sémillon has large berries and thin skins making it suceptable to noble rot. This is best seen in the Bordeaux vineyards Barsac and Sauternes, where it is mixed Sauvignon to make very good sweet wines. Dry wines from Bordeaux also follow a Sauvignon Semillion mix with the Semillon giving a bit of weight and citrus fruit.
In Australia's Hunter Valley they make a Semillon that is rather neutral when young but when it ages turns into a fine wine with notes of nuts and honey.
