Sangiovese
GrapeAlong with Nebbiolo this red grape variety rules in Italy. It produces the famous Tuscan wines of Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montipulciano. It can be found mostly in its central regions of Italy, and is started to be experimented with elsewhere in the world. Its wines can range from mid-weight, easy, cherry-flavoured reds to full, long-lived, plumy wines with a hint of violets and earth that turn deliciously cedary and complex with age.
