Roussanne

Grape
White: Its homeland is in the Rhône, France, where it is often blended with Marsanne. It is usually reminiscent of flowers and herbs. In cool climate it is high in acidity. In hotter climates, it is richer, with flavours of honey and pear, and full body. These can sometimes take oak well, and when blended can be held, sometimes for up to a decade. It is hard to grow with irregular yields.
Allowed in the Rhone ACs of: Crozes-Hermitage AOC, Hermitage AOC and Saint-Joseph AOC
