Ribera del Duero

Red: Spain: Suited on the river Duero (Duoro in Portugal, home of Port) with DOCa status achieved in 2008. Hotter, with a rocky terrain and more continental climate than Rioja, the Ribera del Duero wines have a good reputation fuller, fruit driven wines made from blends of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo grapes. These wines can be very long lived and very expensive. It is also home to Spain’s most expensive wine, Vega Sicilia.
