New South Wales

Region
Australia: Is an Eastern region which house Syndey. Here Australias first vines were planted for wine on the banks of the Parramatta River. The viticultural capital is now the Hunter Valley, were tourism has flourish. It is well known for it big Charonnays, Cabernets and interesting, complex, long lived Semillions.
The Riverina and Sunraysia areas along the Murrumbidgee and Murray rivers are important regions for mass produced wine due to irrigation.
Problems with recent droughts have badly hit this area and plans for expansion as the bottom end of the market has struggled to make money.
