The Wine Library Reviews
Region: Sonoma, California, America
Wine: 2007 Lytton Springs, Ridge Vineyards
Colour: Red
Grape: 71% Zinfandel, 22% Petite Sirah, 7% Carignan
At the picturesque tasting room of Ridge in Sonoma, they were showing a group of Zins.
The Lytton Springs was dry with a medium acidity, full body, and only medium + alcohol. A serious style Zin made to age a little. Medium + fine grained tannin, ripe mulberry, plum, blackberry , black pepper and new leather turn into a slightly got medium + length finish. Give this a couple of years and I think these would all integrate.
