The Wine Library Reviews
Region: Napa Valley, California, America
Wine: 2008 Sauvignon Blanc, Heitz
Colour: White
Grape: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
The Californians are truly on the Sauvignon Blanc bandwagon with locals wanting to buy at high prices. The quality is not as good as elsewhere but the Heitz offer was certainly the best tried this time round in the Napa. White peaches and strong ripe gooseberry nose makes it like a Marlborough SB. Medium + acidity, medium body with a citrus, gooseberry, pink grapefruit and yellow apple on the palate with a medium length.
