The Wine Library Reviews

Region: Sirince, Turkey

Wine: 2004 Narince, Artemis Sarapevi, Akberg, Akberg Sirince, Beyaz Sek Sarap

Colour: White

Grape: Artemis

Has had 5 years in bottle and I am expecting it to be dead. But it's lively, with strong yoghurt, apricot, honey, vanilla and brioche aromas, much like a top Viognier, although not as aromatic. The palate is dry, but full bodied and rich, with a medium acidity followed by a long clean finish. A wonderful surprise!

Food Matching: White meats such as pork and apple, heavier fish with rich sauces and goose.
