Region: Priorat, Spain

Wine: 2006 Salmos Priorat, Miguel Torres

Colour: Red

Grape: Garnacha, Syrah, Carinena, and Cabernet Sauvignon

A good entry level Priorat, especially as prices are going up in this area. Dark crimson, with ripe yet slightly bitter red fruit, dark cherry, floral herbs, white spice, cedar and a stone mineral character. Full bodied, high alcohol, clean acidity following by a medium length finish.

Food Matching: Steaks, lamb chops, ribs and any other red meats.
