The Wine Library Reviews
Region: Burgundy, France
Wine: 2005 Puligny Montrachet, Domaine Leflaive
Colour: White
Grape: 100% Chardonnay
Wonderful wine from a fine vintage, still racy medium + acidty, ripe fruit, slightly creamy, honey, and that text book smoky minerality. Drinking well straight out of the bottle and didn’t need the time to open up as the Chevalier and Bienvenues did. Medium + finish.
Food Matching: Roast white meats, heavier fish.
