The Wine Library Reviews

Region: Tuscany, Italy

Wine: 2004 Fuligni, Brunello di Montalcino

Colour: Red

Grape: Sangiovese

A classic Brunello from this great vintage. A lovely wine with ripe, dark fruit such as cherry and plum with a text book Brunello structure, of grippy tannins (because its young), medium high acidity and rustic flavours of earth, tea, leather and smoke. It is a well balanced, lovely wine, with a long finish. Drink again in 6-15 years.

Food Matching: BBQ steaks, boar, red meat with herbs.
