The Vigna del Fiore is a Brunello from a single vineyard in the south of Montalcino. Its planted on stone and gravel, unlike the rest of Montalcino. This allows the wine to be elegant, polished and with a higher acidity compared to more rustic Brunellos. The 04 is a treat. A great year producing a fantastic wine of poise, with opulent red and black cherry, earth, a strong minerality, cedar and tobacco followed by a long, clean finish. It is still young but will have a great future ahead of it. Will keep 10-20 years.

Food Matching: Lamb shank, beef, bolognaise, stronger red meat based pastas.
