The Wine Library Reviews

Region: Northern Rhone, France

Wine: 2007 Crozes-Hermitage, Petite Ruche, M. Chapoutier

Colour: Red

Grape: 100% Syrah

A youthful ruby red wine with tart acid, high alcohol, and medicinal/gamey, red fruit, blackberry, pepper, spice, cloves and cedar wood. Although this is a young wine it is lovely now but could keep another couple of years. Don’t hold it too long though.

Food Matching: Rich red meat dishes particularly steak with a heavy sauce and game / wild boar.
