The Wine Library Reviews
Region: Champagne, France
Wine: 2004 Champagne Gobillard, Prestige Millisime
Colour: Sparkling White
Grape: 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir
Very youthful when tasted, but showing a lot of potential. On the nose it is delicate, refined, with citrus fruit, apples, vanilla, bread, toast, and a smell of gun powder. In the mouth it is balanced and is followed by a long, expressive finish. Time in bottle will refine this wine more and bring the acidity, fruit and mouthful further into line.
Food Matching: White meats, Veal, good with a main meal.
