Region: Champagne, France
Wine: 1998 Lason Noble Cuvee, Brut
Colour: Sparkling White
Grape: 70% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir
A lovely mousse, with sweet brioche and dough on the nose, followed by citrus, melon, honey and a hint of floral. This is balanced by the trademark high acidity, good fruit and a long, intense finish.
Food Matching: A little more body lends this to foie gras on toasted brioche, white meats, pork and heavier fish.
