The Wine Library Reviews
Region: Southern Highlands, Australia
Wine: 2006 ‘Tertini and Knight’ Arneis, Reserve
Colour: White
Grape: 100% Arneis
A deep yellow heading towards gold in colour. This Ozzy take on a classic Italian variety displays typical Arneis flavours of peach, pear and almond. A little bit of barrel fermentation adds and rounds off this wine with touches of vanilla and butter. The acidity is a touch on the low side, but all the components are well balanced, considering this was a very hot year. I was very surprised and really liked this one.
Food Matching: Excellent as an aperitif but also very good with hors d’oeuvres, fish, Asian cuisine, and salads.
