Grape: 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 10% Sangiovese 

Riper than the 2004 with more red fruit and plums, pushing the acidity out slightly, the finish is not as long. Still great value and with an outstanding 2006 from Italy, I can't wait for the next addition.

Food Matching: Red meat, a roast, Bolognese, game.
