Region: Champagne, France

Wine: 1999 Veuve Clicquot Vintage

Colour: Sparkling White

Grape: 33% Chardonnay, 8% Pinot Meunier, 59% Pinot Noir

Very big, and rich. Yeasty nose with sweet citrus fruit, drinking well now. Creamy, ripe, sweet citrus fruit alongside toast and persistent bubbles with a long finish. Best drunk with strongly flavoured food.

Food Matching: Would go well with seafood and bigger flavoured fish as well as poultry and white meat.
