Chateau Talbot

4ème Cru Classé, from the Bordeaux appellation of St Julien. Named after John Talbot, an English soldier and governor of Guienne in the 15th century. Owned by the Cordier family since 1917. Usually a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (66%), Merlot (26%), Cabernet Franc (3%), and Petit Verdot (5%) Grand Vin has a typical production of 30000 cases per annum. The second wine is Connétable de Talbot.
