3ème Cru Classé, from the Bordeaux appellation of Margaux. A super second, named after Major General Palmer, a British officer who settled in Bordeaux in 1814. Société Civile de Chateau Palmer and its descendants run the family estate, and it is managed by Thomas Duroux, of Tenuta dell'Ornellaia fame. Planted with 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot. The Grand Vin has roughly 11,000-12,000 cases per annum. The second wine is Alter Ego de Palmer.
