1ème Cru Classé, from the Bordeaux appellation of Pauillac. This estate is of course owned by the Rothschilds, the banking family, more specifically under he guidance of Eric de Rothschild. Cabernet Sauvignon (70%), Merlot (20%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). Production is normally 25000 cases per annum. The second wine is Carruades de Lafite.
