Region
Champagne is one of Frances best known regions for the production of the sparkling white wine. This name is now protected within the EU. The area is about 100 miles east of Paris. The towns of Troyes, Reims and Épernay are the commercial centers of the area. Wines are made in the Champagne method (see tradional method)
