Brunello di Montalcino

Italy: Tuscany: Red: Brunello di Montalcino is a fuller bodied red made from a clone of Sangiovese around the picturesque town of Montalcino, which is south east of Florence. In 1980, the Brunello di Montalcino was awarded the first Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG) and is widely regarded, along with Barolo, as the king of Italian wines.
