Australia: Barossa Valley is in South Australia and is a large wine producing region famed for its Shiraz. With heavy rainfall in the winter and very hot temperatures in the summer this helps concentrate the flavours of the Shiraz/Syrah grape, which are grown on some of the oldest vines in the world.
Producers: Torbreck, Henscke, Penfolds, Peter Lehmann, Rockford, Elderton, Saltram and Yalumba.
