Argentina
Argentina continues to make ground in the world with wine production steadily growing, due to good value wines at entry level and a growing reputation for premium wines, particularly with collaborations with famous French and Italian names (Clos de Siete for example). The Argentineans have a strong domestic market so change has taken slightly longer than in Chile. They have made the Malbec grape (of Cahors fame) there own. The best are full bodied, dark in colour and worthy of bottle age.
