Abruzzo
Region in East Italy, famed for Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, made from the Montepulciano grape. The four DOC produced in Abruzzo are the Contro Guerra, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane. In terms of volume, Abruzzo is the fifth largest wine producing region of Italy, sharing its northern boundary with the Marche and a substantial coastline to the East with the Adriatic.
